This program is entrepreneurship through creativity. Sunil Gopal Krishna and Srinivas Katta are coordinating the program along with Peter Han. The new VENTURE program is a mentoring program at HTW which cultivates civic responsibility and creative capacity in youth in grades 7th to 12th. Youth participants learn skills, acquire knowledge and develop capabilities that enable them to use their creative talents to invent services and products to serve needs in their local community, particularly the Indian community in Montgomery and Harris Counties, Texas. Youth participants, also known as Venturers, will learn design and social innovation techniques from VENTURE program consultants and mentors Fabian Fernandez-Han and Peter Han

The VENTURE program launched in January 2013 with the exciting Creative Fun Day during which the young Venturers used their creativity to design, construct and test umbrellas from discarded paper, plastic and other materials. Photos of this day can be viewed at:

The first working session of VENTURE program took place on March 17th during which the youth Venturers committed to serving the HTW by designing a new, cost-effective system for washing steel plates after meals at HTW. Questions and comments regarding the VENTURE program can be directed to Fabian or Peter using this webpage: Additional information regarding the VENTURE program can be found at:
